“Community” describes the way in which a group agrees to satisfy its needs. For Riverviews Artists, that agreement and those needs are satisfied by creating art.
This exhibition offers the opportunity to discover how each individual artist responds to different materials, techniques and subject matter. The process and product can be compared and contrasted by showing two examples of an artist’s work.
For instance, an artist may use similar materials for two very different works; another artist may use different techniques for two works of a related subject. You, the viewer, are invited to part of the dialogue of those decisions, an experience that usually is reserved within the intimacy of the artists’ studio.
