In my collages, I use readily accessible images and found objects that are recognizable, and easily understood. The meaning is changed when the added juxtaposition of humor and appreciation of the absurd is added to the equation. These illogical visual arrangements result in an invitation to consider familiarity with the unexpected.

The works are intentionally of a typical scale easily found on the wall of a home or in a scrap- book; a handheld size, for an audience of one. This contributes to the close relationships the images initially convey, and acts as a welcoming threshold. Simultaneously, it also allows for a visual contradiction and paradox of comfort and social behavior to unfold.
